Hair and Scalp issue (Pls Help)
« on: July 31, 2017, 11:38:06 am »
Hi All!

I hope to get some advise and help in regards to scalp/Hair care.

Recently I have his itchy scalp which comes as and when usually at the back of the head and the side, and when scratch there's white tiny dry flakes.

I have tried using non SLS shampoo and alternate it with normal shampoo but the itch is still there.

Seen a GP and was told my scalp looks very healthy ( No red, not even dandruff).

Anyway my itchy scalp sometimes will be tingling or sore (if I try not to scratch it).

Previously my hair don't drop as much as now too(even now is also within the normal range but it's still more than the previous :( )

Anyone can please recommend any shampoo and ways to prevent hair loss and itch, am 30 this year ..

I don't use hair dryer, didn't dye my hair or have any chemical done to my hair for many years, length of hair slightly longer den shoulder.

look for sulfate-free and phosphate-free shampoo - that would mean free from SLS, SLES, SDS etc etc

http://www.womenshealthmag.com/beauty/sulfate-free-shampoo

http://www.marieclaire.com/beauty/g3760/best-sulfate-free-shampoos/

anionics tend to penetrate and irritate the scalp

Preach! Do always look at the first few ingredients in the shampoo and only buy them if they sound normal. EG. Roots extract and such. Don't buy them if they sound weird/chemically.

Patients who have hypothyroid has also hair and scalp problems due to hormonal imbalance so I am not sure if u have this condition

These problems can also be due to late night sleeping and unhealthy living lifestyle like smoking etc

Ageing also plays a part too especially nowadays very stressful environment

There is no one solution but to monitor and seek a professional help.

I do got to Oriental Hair Solutions for my own hair and scalp treatment .

Hope this helps

try to avoid using oily cream or spray daily
Also use a 'refreshing' shampoo with mint to relax your scalp

It's best if you consult a specialist or hair stylist. I always buy my shampoo in a saloon. Those products on shelf usually cause me itchiness and dandruff. Currently, I'm using Shinamino with snail extract and great smell too.

If you know the brand you are getting it could be cheaper getting it outside compared to the saloons. Else cross the boarder and look for those hair product shops.

u guys heard of the "no shampoo" hair care by celebrities such as jennifer aniston?

I am trying it now... its a bit difficult as my hair is oily.
but i wonder if the hair condition will improve after a few weeks
