Has anybody visited Yogyakarta before?
Planning to go in October this yr... please share some itinerary or must do/must visit places!
contacts for local guides is very much appreciated too!

you do know that Borobudur is a "must-visit" right?  :P

also planning on the river tubing (but got crocs not?) and the cave exploring.

I think crocs should be part of the adventure right?  :P ......  no need to pay extra like our river safari ...  :-\

can't be sure that they didn't discreetly migrated over without the locals' knowledge....  :-\

anyways ... seems like you already covered the interesting stuff like the ancient temple complexes and cave exploration

food wise, I'm not particularly fascinated with gudeg ...... although I find east java food nice (usually around Surabaya for me - like nasi liwet, pecel, rawon) ... but then again yogya is not really east java is it?

maybe can pick up a new skillset for the new economy like making leather sandals or printing your own batiks?
