Health, Exercise, Diet, Spa & Massage / Are you using any fitness tracker?
« on: February 17, 2017, 01:45:38 pm »
Been doing research on fitness bands for... quite some time... *cough cough* sorry, @beaverjuice @chiasmus this is fitbit dilemma 4.0.

first set my eyes on fitbit charge 2

but after reading up all the complaints on fitbit community forums, i begin to wonder if it's really worth my $200.

Then i thought maybe can save that $50 and get just their charge HR. But the aesthetics of it is really....

then i came across jawbone up4

which is really pretty, but once again, tons of complaints with inaccuracy and discomfort in wearing....

and of course, there's garmin vivofit 3

and their vivosmart HR

my main focus on getting a fitness tracker is to get a better gauge of how much calories i burn each day (both my BMR + activities). Or should I just save my money and rely on the rough estimation from myfitnesspal app?  :-\

uncle @beaverjuice , will appreciate your input on this.  :P

Both the owner, her son and his friends suffered serious injuries, with the woman showing signs of a brain hemorrhage while the son and his friends suffered fractures in their faces. The injured party will have to receive medical care for about six to eight weeks to completely heal.

Five of the Chinese tourists were arrested and three others have been banned from leaving the country until further investigation.

 :o :o :o
way too unreasonable and barbaric of them.  :-X

Erm.... not really?
Snacks will be snacks. Fats or Sugar? Choose your lesser evil?  8)

fyi, tampines greenverge is quite near concrete batching plants.

Anybody here drinking ACV+Honey on a daily basis?
did you experience all these benefits?
weight loss too?

I recently bought a bottle of ACV for my ringworm and now I have 99% of the bottle leftover. Wondering if I can drink ACV+Honey long term or not. I remember reading somewhere that it also affects our bone density (not in a good way).

Cosmetics & Make-up / Recommendation for Peel Off Base Coat
« on: August 15, 2016, 01:52:27 pm »
Glitter polishes are so pretty yet such a pain in the arse to remove. I recently found out the easiest way to deal with removing glitter polishes is to use a peel off base coat.
But some are so lousy it will peel off on their own the next day (Etude House's one).

Any recommendation for a good peel off base coat that will only come off when I want it to?

stop demonizing poor butter! :(

i felt the need to speak up for butter after viewing countless "healthy baking" videos on youtube that omitted butter but still added in cups of white granulated sugar.  ::)

apparently, it might.
but provided you do not eat them like you're winnie the pooh.

Chit Chat Corner / mooncake recommendation
« on: August 05, 2016, 04:42:30 pm »
since it's now the 7th month and mooncake festival is coming up next, let's start discussing on mooncakes!

frankly speaking i'm quite disgusted by this idea.
@chiasmus i remembered you mentioned you're vegan. what's your take on this? because apparently some vegan youtuber are (is?) supporting this idea already.

when they say wheat gluten here, are they referring to just refined wheat or wholewheat too? and does it only affects people with gluten sensitivities?

I'm always using 2 cleansers, one mild(cetaphil) and one 'deep cleansing' (always changing) one.
running out of my AHA cleanser so wanna get some ideas here.
