If your husband sides you and put you above the in laws, basically you have less problem because they also will know that pissing you off means incurring wrath from the son. If he is the type that tries to please everyone then abit tricky cuz I know of some mils who fabricate stories to win the sympathy of their sons.

The more typical ones are like being very mean to dil when son is at work, ask her do this and that but when son comes back, 360 degree change like very sweet and caring. Say never ask dil do anything hor! Or say dil was very rude to her etc. Didn't happen to me lah haha, heng!  ;D

i have been staying with inlaws for 9yrs+, and it is still ongoing till......
it is definitely not a bed of roses but i just have to close eyes & ears at times. ::)

the woes of having the only child for my husband, haha.

I honestly believe anyone's parents would be easier than mine. :'(

couples nowadays love to stay with their own parents, because they need them for housework and looking after kids. or married without financial capability to get your own home.

there will always be problems.

too bad, a price to pay, for not being to handle household affairs yourselves.

All Chinese MIL are the same.  China one more scary.  I watch one variety show.  Thw MIL dun like the DIL go set up DIL.  Frame her tat she got affairs and get the couple divorce.  there are evil MIL there are also Evil DIL. The son/hub should be the tat handle the 2 most impt woman. In their live..
