I'm planning to skip gatecrashing also.

It's suppose to signify how much your man is willing to sacrifice for his bride. But more and more bridesmaids are crossing the line.

Anyway, I'm skipping gatecrashing because my future MIL told me that it is humiliating to the groom. On his wedding day, the groom should be prideful and biggest, hence it is not viable embarrass him this way.

I'm actually very close with my future MIL. I'm not agreeing to this for the sake of it, but because I've always had the same mindset as her. She just put my thoughts into words. And she didn't have gate crashing either.

And a guy don't need to do such physical things to show how much he loves his bride. I don't need pandora or any expensive gifts from my SO.

Well said...gatecrushing is not even a traditional thing but it has becoming a trend (or comedy) during wedding dinner to play out for guest to watch. Nowadays when I go to a wedding dinner, the light dimmed and I immediately know they are gonna play:

1. how the couple met video
2. gate crushing video

I mean, this wedding is not any different from the other wedding or weddings many years down the road. Those brothers, they are willing to get humiliated and are not afraid to show it. This is alright since they are being sporting to follow the trend. But one should not be condemned for not following this trend.

Some people goes "huh why no gatecrusing game?!", "huh why no wedding dinner in a hotel?", "why never this never that..."...... give me a break, all these is to please the family and guest.

What games you play or used to play?
