Sagging after v-line?
« on: September 10, 2018, 12:39:18 pm »
Hi! I want to proceed v-line but recently found out about skin sagging issue after the operation. Are there any ways to avoid skin sagging after cutting your bone or I’ll have to lift my skin with threads or Botox injections anyway?

I got facial contouring about a year ago and experienced no skin laxity. I think the place where I got my procedures done has a good reputation for giving results with no facial sagging

Hi I also got f/c in Korea few months ago but I don't feel skin sagging after the surgery.
I also heard about that and I asked the doctor and he said if I follow the aftercare service of the clinic and cautions, skin sagging will not gonna happen.
After the surgery the clinic gave me a something kinda mask to lift up from chin to ear so I wear that often.

So don't worry that much and if you consider the surgery in Korea I can share my experience so reply me:)

Have a nice day!

Where did you have your operation? And did your surgeon use screws to fix the bone in place after the surgery?

Thank you so much! The mask you wrote about...Was that the one like some manufacturers advertise to get a v-line without surgery? Where did you proceed it?

Have seen some reviews about that clinic on realself and purse. Did your doctor use dissolvable screws?

I don’t think he used dissolvable screws, as I was supposed to remove them a year after but I know that they are also quite hard to see in xrays

Is facial contouring includes v-line? Or they are different procedures?

so, basically from what I know, v-line is a t-osteotomy and sometimes with jaw reduction (not sure tho) but facial contouring includes all 3 – zygomatic bone reduction with angular jaw reduction and genioplasty

Oh, so I’m interested in jaw reduction actually :) Did you have to wear braces before the surgery? I haven’t had any consultations yet but don’t really wanna wear braces as it looks a bit ugly to me lol and I have a normal bite. Did your surgeon recommend you all 3 procedures or were you looking to do that to begin with?

actually, my main issue was zygoma but I was also unsatisfied with my face as a whole. I thought getting v-line as well because I believed that’d improve the shape of my face, so dr Kim advised me the exact same thing. I didn’t wear braces and I don’t really think they are compulsory in every case with jaw reduction – that actually the thing you should discuss with your surgeon

How did you deal with post op pain? And how long did it last?

well, the pain wasn’t awful, the first few days I took painkillers and tried to walk a lot since it helps to get rid of swelling faster. I can’t say the whole process was panful so far but I experienced amazingly annoying discomfort for 2-3 months or so

Are you happy with your result overall?
