We should be trained or at least be more vigilant.  I read this in another article and it's quite psychotic.

3 A lone-wolf attack by self-radicalised individuals. There has been a noticeable rise in such attacks worldwide, after ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammed al-Adnani told followers to carry out attacks in any way. Six such attacks abroad took place in 2014 after his statement, and 11 more took place last year - excluding foiled attacks.

Adnani also told followers: If you cannot find an IED (improvised explosive device) or guns, then smash people's heads with a rock, slaughter them with a knife, run them down with a car, throw them down from a high place, choke them. Mr Shanmugam said: "Security checks at Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints are not going to prevent these."

Yupz.  Home Affairs is afraid of such lone-wolf attacks.  Maybe such a scenario in our MRT where an attacker or few attackers start stabbing people - how would you react? ???

Based on what I learnt from The Walking Dead, you gotta snatch one of their weapons and kill all the attackers.

:o you get your terrorism-survival skills from watching walking dead?  :P :P

I think the first think one should do if a lone-wolf attacker starts slashing commuters on MRT is to throw your handphone at the attacker.

DIFFICULT TO GET SINGAPOREANS TO RECOGNISE TERROR THREAT

A psychologist said getting Singaporeans to recognise that a terror threat is looming at their doorstep will not be easy.

Mr Neo Eng Chuan, Principal Psychologist at Caper Spring, said most Singaporeans would hold onto the mindset that Singapore is a safe place due to their experiences.

"Now to help him think of it in a very different way, he really would have to put effort into it. That's counter-intuitive, and counter-reality to some extent," he said.

Mr Neo added that beyond education and information, it is important to help people understand the consequences of a terror attack - for example, through the sharing of real-life experiences - to drive home the reality of the situation.
