so he killed himself out of guilt??

It could be a possibility of either one or both
(1)  felt shameful and guilty,  chose the jun-zi aka samurai bushido code to avoid bringing shame to family
(2)  mother said something after she brought him home.  only mother knows, no one knows.

Benjamin Lim case: What's true, what's false
« Reply #31 on: March 02, 2016, 01:30:41 pm »
http://news.asiaone.com/news/singapore/benjamin-lim-case-facts-falsehoods

bottomline is Benjamin was caught on CCTV.

he was interviewed by 1 police officer in school in the presence of teacher/principal

he was taken away in unmarked police car

he was interviewed in cubicle by police officer

he refused drinks and snacks

so why TOC spread falsehood to tarnish the good name of our police force? ???

nothing better to do lor. actually if the CCTV footage is out. it will shut up a lot of ppl mouth. the boy isn't innocent but doing that will hurt the girl and her family. and it will hurt Benjamin family too.

the boy had done wrong, he should bravely face it instead of killing himself

TOC wasn't only the one who kena whacked by Shanmugam.  The President of Law Society also wrote a letter to the press that mentioned Benjamin was taken away by 5 policemen which has since been shown to be untrue.

So President of Law Society also kena scolding from Law Minister.  :D

Hopefully, they do a closed court hearing for this case as requested by the boy's father.

According to the Minister, Lim’s family had informed police that they were feeling pressured by public and media attention, asked for privacy and for his family to be kept out of the limelight.

As recently as on Monday, Shanmugam added, Lim’s father repeated these requests to a police officer — these despite the fact that all Coroner’s Inquiries are held in open court, unless the Court decides that some part should be private: say the girl’s identity, for instance, as well as the CCTV footage of what actually happened in the lift.

Nonetheless, Shanmugam said in his speech that the Attorney-General’s Chambers will consider Lim’s father’s request, although it will be for the court to decide whether or not to make the proceedings public.

haiz, to protect themselves from all these finger pointing by ppl with bad intention. I doubt the father request will be heard. and if the boy is innocent, the father sure wan it to be open hearing so that his boy innocent can be know by all.

the boy is at fault by molesting a girl and he use the worse and most stupid method to solve his problem end up his parent pay for it. maybe if his family nvr talk to the reporter in the first place. thing will not become so big

but as parent they nvr notice his weird behavior before his jump isn't that even more scary. it not like he jump dwn from the school building.

school should show a bit more concern but as parent they should show even more concern.

why the MOH and SPF did nothing wrong at all lei? Let say if it the victim that kill herself cos she feel tainted due to their sueing. Than should Benjamin family pay for this innocent life that were lose due to their selfishness.

And why the public should help out them when their child did commit a crime although he lost his life. This case the most innocent is the victim. Molest hurt more than murder, they will always be hunted this this dark memory for life even on their death bed
