http://www.cnbc.com/2016/03/27/japans-elderly-turn-to-life-of-crime-to-ease-cost-of-living.html

Read this in today's TODAY, I wonder if Singapore will be like this in future.

Then I will have to steal from 7-11 just to survive inside Changi Prison.  :'(

that's why you need to take preventive action by investing in HDB flat.

when old liao can sell HDB and live in the streets but you'll have a million bucks in your bank account - no need to rob 7-11  8)

With a million bucks but living on streets, wait for people to rob me or atbs to scam me is it?  :-\

Nowadays HDBs come with flexi-lease of 30, 60 or 99 years.  This is what they came up with after studying the Hong Kong public housing model.  Basically Singaporeans will be buying smaller units that are more expensive but seem to cost less.

smaller units means HDB can use the same space to accommodate more people yet collect more $$  ;D

Yup, nowadays they like to build gardens on top of multi-storey carparks too.  Since students like to hanky-panky there to begin with, now they add gardens to help create better atmosphere for them to procreate.

I think better to lock up your million bucks in CPF and dispense them on a weekly basis so that those evil ATBs will not get hold of your money ....

older HDB will become more precious .... this is a virtuous cycle to ensure that older flats will be more coveted and upz its value ......

PAP wants to make you wealthy,  if only you will give them a chance to ...... it is all in your hands  8)
