what is the required terminal.velocity of a asteroid to puncture earth like a balloon? ???

not possible

not possible

it isn't impossible : e.g. Quasars , just improbable

For something to go through Earth that much , it must be very very fast / energetic / hard / and not impeded by both the atmosphere and the many layers of earth.

In most cases and for most collisions with Earth , the collisions would be inelastic , adding to Earth's volume instead of destroying it.

instead of a gunshot wound exit that this diagram suggests

Guess this kind of threads doesn't intrigue petal-ers

What would be the kinetic energy required, then calculate the  theoretical terminal velocity required to puncture earth like a balloon? ???

Maybe a physicist amongst us can theorize a mass travelling at that velocity?
