How do you access Facebook on your mobile phone ?
« on: October 21, 2015, 10:05:17 am »
The mobile version of Facebook together with their messenger seems to take up a lot of space , I wonder if anyone uses their browser to access Facebook on their mobile phones ?

Are you trying to be top topic starter.. ;D

You can use any browser to access fb but i find it easier to link other apps to the fb app.

Using browser means all the processing are done at their server end thus reduce requirements on your phone but you won't get the full feature.

Downloading their app means more processing is done via your phone etc and similarly takes up more space on your phone cos you need to install the app, but you get more features that are easier to use.

Well at least Facebook gives you a choice. As of now to access this forum we can only use browser. Wonder if Petalbytes would have an app soon  ;D

No lar , this is the first topic I've started in chit chat corner.

I merely thought that taking up almost 500 mb (main ap = 341 mb , messenger = 91mb ) of my phone's space is ridiculous. (only have 2 gb for aps )

That messenger app if never use can delete. As for memory size your phone doesn't support external memory card?

External memory card's access speed is slightly slower than internal memory
