not induced by alcohol or drugs.

dun recall much in details abt those weeks. only remember behaviours / actions are lacking in inhibitions and more impulsive / daring.

when u regain clarity of mind due to some abrupt environmental change (which maybe calls for it). u find it quite strange??? 😨

In army right from day 1, we are inoculated with the mantra that "rank is everything". So no matter how dumb the order is given, we execute it first then if anything not happy then raise the issue afterwards with them, with the risk of "challenging of superior". Not doing so means "insubordination". Trying too hard to make things right and speak to higher ups means "skipping chain of command".

So basically just listen and do like a zombie for 2 years. Add on to the fact that we are not exactly busy everyday and we "rush to wait, wait to rush", NS life is really non mentally stimulating at all ::)

Your boss might have some reason beyond you on doing things differently than you expect. Either you stay strong and survive or you quit lor.
