« on: July 12, 2015, 02:40:46 pm »
i'm doing tech-based stuff and i'm wondering if there are any specific grants specific to women? its pretty tough to compete in a male-dominated environment.

Hi, I am a female entrepreneur and in my circle I've known quite a few female entrepreneurs, however for tech-based stuff, is like what you mentioned still pretty much male-dominated. I think women can do equally well or even better than their male counterparts... all the best!  :)

"Entrepreneurs don’t have a special gene for risk—they come from families with money"

not sure what to think of this... on one hand, there are some truths.. but on the other, its not always true.

Not a entrepreneurs. Just someone who is venturing into tradition business.

Never segregate by gender. Probably 'cause I was from a girls' school and was brought up in a way which I believe that female can be as good as a male, or even better.

My business is an industry which is male dominated. However, I don't think that it should be restricted. That gives me even a better push to learn and do it well.  ;)

Yes, true to the never segregate by gender part. Sometimes we may fare better if we are minority going into any major one gender-dominated businesses.  :)

are there avenues for females to seek advice regarding entrepreneurship? say new ideas or if they have a plan set in place already and are looking for partners etc.
